Fellow blogger Creating Diva is committing to be a part of something greater than herself. In her own words:
This year I am participating in Relay for Life in Dallas, an overnight event that brings the community together to support the American Cancer Society. Six months ago, a good friend of mine was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. As a junior in college, she had to undergo chemotherapy and radiation and leave school to fight cancer. This was after she fought alongside her boyfriend for five years as he battled cancer in high school and college. Needless to say, with her diagnosis, I have experienced first hand the emotional trauma and fear that comes with a cancer diagnosis. I am relaying to support her in her fight against cancer, to celebrate with all those who have fought cancer and in remembrance of those who left us too early.
